Newark Artist Alliance Solo Abstract Show- June -July 2017

​Nov 1-Dec 1, 2016-   Eileen had the honor of spending a one month long artist-in-residency in Brittany. She painted in the artist studio of Yvonne Jean-Haffen (1895-1993). She lived in the la Maison d'artiste of the Grande Vigne in Dinan ,France. Her residency concluded with an exhibition of her paintings. with one  being placed in the towns' permanent collection.

               1. Newark Arts Alliance Abstract art showAn Abstract Approach @ Newark Arts Alliance This all-media, juried exhibition features abstract art. Juror: Eileen Olson . June 27–July 21 2017 

                2. Town of  Ocean City "Arts Alive" art competition June 24-25, 2017. They celebrate 17 years as Ocean City’s biggest and best fine art show. One hundred  artists  will sell their works. Supported by the Art League of Ocean City, Art’s Alive is a juried, fine art show with work for sale in 12 categories. Artists compete for $5,250 in cash prizes.

​​​​Eileen hails from Brooklyn, NY and Northern Virginia and has been painting since her youth. After a 30-year career as an R.N., she decided to go into art full-time. She was a member of the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center Studio Artists in VA. , where she maintained a working studio for over 8 years.  She has also conducted art workshops and given demonstrations to numerous art leagues and local social groups. Eileen nurtured her natural talent with classes at The Brooklyn Museum and The Corcoran School of Art and by attending  innumerable workshops in the US and abroad

Eileen is a member of Rehoboth Art League and  Southeastern Delaware Artists Studio Tour (SEDAST),  and has judged many local and state art shows and competitions.
